Meet Jainam Jain: The 14-Year-Old Running an AI Startup From the 141st Floor of Burj Khalifa

Every so often, a story comes along that makes you pause and recheck the age mentioned. This is one of those stories. Jainam Jain has been going viral across the internet and news channels — including reports as recent as July 5 — for a simple reason: at just 14 years old, he’s become Dubai’s youngest AI startup founder, and he’s running his company from the 141st floor of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

It’s the kind of detail that sounds almost too cinematic to be true. But behind the viral headline is a genuinely interesting story about curiosity, self-directed learning, and a kid who decided early on that the traditional path wasn’t for him.

The Company: Mengo Engine

Jainam’s AI company is called Mengo Engine, built around a simple but ambitious idea: an AI “co-founder” for businesses. The platform is designed to automate the repetitive but essential parts of running a company — marketing, customer support, sales, newsletters, and content creation — using AI.

Right now, Mengo Engine is still in its beta stage, but it’s already generated real traction: more than 100 companies are reportedly on the waiting list to use it once it’s fully available.

Skipping Grades: 10th Standard at 13

Jainam was born in Pune, India, and moved to Dubai with his family when he was five years old. From early on, his academic path looked nothing like a typical school timeline.

At just 12, he began researching an alternative route through the Cambridge Assessment (IGCSE) system — and after roughly 105 days of preparation, he cleared his 10th-grade exams at age 13. His younger sister followed the same path, clearing her 10th-grade exams at just 10 years old.

A Business Mindset Built From Childhood

Jainam’s interest in business and technology didn’t start with AI — it started much earlier, and in some fairly unconventional ways.

His first business meeting at age 6. His father brought him along to a business meeting when he was just six years old — and that early exposure is what first sparked his interest in business and technology.

A YouTube channel at age 7. Along with his sister, Jainam started a YouTube channel called JJFuntime, where the two of them posted toy unboxings and science experiments. The channel has since grown to over 150,000 subscribers.

A self-imposed 50-day challenge. To push himself further, Jainam set a personal challenge: read 50 books, attend 50 networking events, and travel nearly 6,000 kilometers across India to meet entrepreneurs in person.

No Degree, No Formal Training — Just Curiosity

Here’s the part that stands out most: Jainam has no formal AI course or college degree. Everything he’s learned has come from hands-on experimentation, YouTube, and sheer curiosity.

Because of his age, his father is listed as the legal co-founder of the company on paper — but the actual operations and product development are handled entirely by Jainam himself. Beyond the company, he’s also a TEDx speaker and author, and his stated ambition is to eventually turn Mengo Engine into a unicorn — a company valued at over $1 billion.
